Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Your privacy matters

This Privacy Policy explains how Realtor.mk collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. It applies to visitors, registered users, and anyone who contacts us.

Who controls your data

Realtor.mk is registered and operated in the Republic of Macedonia (“we,” “us”). For any privacy-related question, see “Contact us” below.

Information we collect

Account information: your full name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text), optional phone number, and your preferred language (English or Macedonian).

Listing information: the property details you publish, such as title, description, city, neighborhood, price, and photos.

Contact form submissions: your name, email, optional phone number, and message when you use our Contact page.

Technical and security information: your IP address is logged for a short period when you request an email-verification link, a password reset, or an admin sign-in, solely to detect and prevent abuse, such as repeated automated attempts.

Cookies: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account, and to let you sign in, publish listings, and manage your profile.

To send you transactional emails — for example, a welcome email, an email-verification link, or a password-reset link.

To respond to messages you send through our Contact page.

To sync your registration and contact details to our customer relationship management (CRM) tool, so our team can follow up with you and manage our relationship with users and prospective customers.

To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

To understand aggregate usage of the Service through privacy-friendly analytics, so we can improve it.

Who we share your data with

We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Realtor.mk — such as our customer relationship management, email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers — and only to the extent needed for them to provide their service to us.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Realtor.mk, our users, or the public.

Where your data is processed

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside Macedonia, including within the European Union and the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we’ll delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records to comply with the law or resolve disputes.

IP addresses logged for security purposes, such as email verification, password reset, and admin sign-in attempts, are kept only briefly and used solely to rate-limit abuse.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can update most of your account information directly from your profile page, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that measures aggregate page views without using cookies and without tracking you across other websites.

Data security

We store passwords using a strong one-way hash, transmit data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and use secure, HTTP-only cookies for authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard safeguards.

Children’s privacy

Realtor.mk is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll post the updated policy here with a new “Last updated” date.
